<div align="justify"><span style="font-family: arial;">Pakistani beauty queen and fashion model, Maria Mateen, who represented her country twice in international beauty pageants, denied press reports claiming that she had a desire to go on a date with Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf.<br /><br />She, however, admitted that she and the former Army Chief were old friends.<br /><br />In an email interview from Texas, Maria said that when she started her career in modeling, her association with Pakistan was appreciated everywhere, and that she earned Pakistan a good name after representing it twice in international beauty pageants, reported the Daily Times.<br /><br />Refuting press reports suggesting that she had expressed her wish to go on a date with Musharraf, she said she and Musharraf are already good friends.
